The BookShop

Are you looking for a weekend or rainy day movie?! Grab a cup of tea, a scone and get ready for a heartwarming good movie. To start, it takes place in the UK, so English accents, the best! I don't want to spoil the movie here, but it is about a widow in the 1950's who decides to open up a little bookshop in a quaint little country town. The best part for me is that in that era, there is no technology, no iPads, no phones, no register or POS. It triggered me to want to open up my own tea/bookshop without WIFI, and without technology! Even my mom was talking to me the other day, she had just went to Barnes and Nobles and said, "I forgot how much I liked to shop at bookstores. The smell and look of all the new crisp books on the shelves." Maybe I'll be opening a bookshop one day! Anyway, this woman stands to face a lot of obstacles! For one obtaining the building and navigating the nosey know-it-all townspeople. Plus she is a widow, living on her own, opening her own business in the 50's. She manages and navigates it well. I wouldn't say that it's a happy ending but it's just a good movie, or at least I think it is (and so did my mom). Don't take my word for it.
